A total of 14 Fermoy Boats took to the water last Saturday for the first event of the rowing calendar, Cork H.O.R. The challenging 4 KM Course from the Port of Cork sign in the center of Cork City all the way to Blackrock Observatory is one of the best courses to test a crews true grit. Fermoy's Ted Pyne and Gavin Morrison took the course in their stride in the men's J16 double, taking home first in a time of 14 minutes and 18 seconds. Newcomer to FRC Ben Daumann impressed all with his performance in the men's Senior Scull, winning in a time of 14 minutes and 41 seconds. The women's crews also impressed throughout the day, rowing very well to take home 3 third places.
